New Class!!

Updated: Apr 26, 2022

We are excited to announce a Movement Fitness class for pregnant &

postpartum women! (no matter how long ago you had your baby)

But what exactly is a Movement Fitness class?? It's designed to help you move your body in the most effective way - whether that involves chasing your kids around the playground, tirelessly caring for your adorable newborn, walking/running/hiking or playing sports. Many of us get into patterns that involve compensations, which isn't necessarily a bad thing - the body is quite amazing at how it adapts!! But many times those compensations result in an aching low back or sore neck or an outright injury.

This class will explore the relationship of the ribcage/diaphragm to the pelvis, which is so extremely important! This involves breathing work and powerful exercises to engage multiple muscles which will directly translate into a stronger and more balanced body. For instance, working at getting the foot, calf, hamstring and glute to all function together is one of the goals. We will also address the pelvic floor. And it can all be adapted to your fitness level and goals.

You will receive a handout so you can do the exercises at home. Minimal equipment is needed - just a mat, a foam roller if possible, and some type of small ball - like a tennis ball, Tune Up ball, or a plain old rubber bouncing ball. This is a program that can be a stand alone routine or something to integrate into your existing workout.

Current dates for class: Saturday May 7 9:45-10:45am

Wednes May 11 5:15-6:15pm

Friday May 13 5:15-6:15pm
